Zapetaia

Zapetaia, which translates to ‘comma’ in Bulgarian, emerged as a collaborative venture in 2015 alongside Kaloyan Velinov, a talented Bulgarian artist and poet. Together, during our final years in high school, we crafted a series of short films.

Within this creative journey, I assumed multiple roles—writing, directing, filming, and editing—while Kaloyan contributed as both the lead actor and a valuable production assistant. Despite lacking substantial budgets or a dedicated crew, these films served as invaluable exercises in honing our craft of storytelling and filmmaking. They became a source of profound learning and enjoyment for me, igniting a passion for the medium and driving my desire to further refine my skills and comprehension.

These early forays into filmmaking remain accessible to all on our YouTube channel, offering a glimpse into our creative process. Additionally, there are supplementary materials available on the secondary channel for those eager to delve deeper into our work.
